Discover the pristine Peruvian Amazon
The Aqua Nera takes guests on excursions to discover some of Peruvian Amazon’s incredible wildlife and stunning scenery, with passengers limited to a maximum of 10 per guide; so you can rest assured in the knowledge that you’ll be receiving an in-depth and personal service. Just a short one-hour flight Lima, Iquitos is the starting point for this four-day cruise, where you’ll have the chance to tour the town before heading into the jungle. On this action-packed Amazon River cruise, you’ll search for pink river dolphins, tropical birds and giant water-lilies, fish for piranhas, meet local communities, explore by kayak and visit the Amazonian Manatee Rescue Centre.
Aqua Nera also offers five or eight-day itineraries that allow guests to get even deeper into the Amazon region, to more remote locations. Routes and excursions vary between the high and low water seasons, but whenever you travel you are guaranteed to have the trip of a lifetime with fantastic scenery and an excellent level of service from the crew.
Itinerary
Day 1: Iquitos introduction and embark ship.
Day 2: Sunrise birdwatching, morning skiff ride and piranha fishing. In the evening search for pink river dolphins.
Day 3: Visit an Amazonian village on Lake Clavero - swim, kayak or canoe. Afternoon jungle walk to see giant water lilies.
Day 4: Early morning local market visit, disembark and visit the Manatee Rescue Centre en route to airport.
Prices from £4,799 per person
Price based on two people sharing a cabin on the first deck in low-water season (June – October). Cabin upgrades and other cruise itineraries are available, please speak to your Travel Specialist.
