La Perla offers its guests an excellent opportunity to explore the Amazon River, with its shallow draught the boat is able to get to places larger vessels cannot. This Amazon River cruise boat has 14 cabins, accommodating a maximum of 30 guests so there’s a relaxed and intimate feel onboard.
La Perla offers a variety of excursions and activities, including kayaking, swimming, canopy walkways, cookery classes with the experienced onboard chef, piranha fishing, jungle walks and night skiff rides to spot nocturnal wildlife. There is a close connection with the native people so guests can learn traditional nature skills used by the locals, get involved in reforestation projects, and even meet a shamana to learn about her beliefs and how she uses the indigenous plants in her medicines.
The understated elegance of the cabins on La Perla offers a relaxing retreat. Nine standard cabins have large picture windows, while the two Amazon view cabins have access to a balcony and three superior cabins offer extra space and amenities. All rooms have air-conditioning, and some can fit an extra bed, ideal for a family holiday to the Amazon. Between excursions, guests can relax in the hammocks or loungers on the shady top deck watching the world go by or cool off in the air-conditioned lounge/bar while sipping a freshly made cocktail.
