With its shallow draught, the Zafiro is able to get to places larger vessels cannot, offering its guests an excellent opportunity to explore the Amazon River. This Amazon riverboat has 19 cabins, accommodating a maximum of 38 guests so there’s a relaxed and intimate feel onboard.
Zafiro offers a wide variety of excursions and activities, including kayaking, swimming, canopy walkways, cookery classes with the experienced onboard chef, piranha fishing, jungle walks and night skiff rides to spot nocturnal wildlife. There is a close connection with the native people so guests can learn traditional nature skills used by the locals, get involved in reforestation projects, and even meet a shamana to learn about her beliefs and how she uses the indigenous plants in her medicines.
The simple sophistication of the cabins on Zafiro offers a relaxing retreat. All cabins have huge, floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can enjoy the passing views, some cabins are interconnecting, ideal for families, and some have a private balcony. Between excursions, guests can relax in the hammocks or loungers on the shady top deck watching the world go by, or cool off in the air-conditioned lounge/bar while sipping a freshly made cocktail.
