A vast coastline of around 62 miles, stretching from Chiriqui province to the Pearl Islands - offers peace and tranquillity for paradise seekers. There is also a wide range of activities, such as swimming, snorkelling, fishing, whale watching, kayaking and surfing. The area is known for hosting international surf competitions and having the best surf breaks in Panama.
The Pearl Islands archipelago is only a two-hour drive from Panama City, but it is one of the lesser crowded island groups in Panama, with pristine white sand beaches, its home to pelicans, blue-and-yellow macaws and monkeys. Wildlife lovers will enjoy visiting the Gulf of Chiriqui to see the colourful coral reef and Coiba National Park for scuba diving and hiking. You may even spot humpback whales, which migrate through here.
