Visit Uruguay: Home of the South American cowboy and mile upon mile of unspoilt coastline.
Learn to ride gaucho style at an Estancia, wander around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Colonia del Sacramento or catch some waves in Punto del Diablo. Whatever you’re into, the rustic charms and warm hospitality of Uruguay will have you hooked.
Uruguay is not the biggest country in South America and is often overlooked in favour of its better-known neighbours. But invest some time in Uruguay and you will find rolling countryside, charming colonial towns and vibrant cities to explore!

A holiday to Uruguay like no other
It is very easy to combine Uruguay with Argentina and/or Brazil. A great starting point is the ancient town of Colonia. Aptly named for its colonial architecture, you can go for as little as a day, although we recommend at least staying overnight. Spend your time ambling around the pretty streets or enjoy a seafood lunch on the front.
Why not extend this and see the vibrant city of Montevideo? Here you will find an interesting city with plenty of attractions to see. You can then easily continue down the coast to the port city of Punta del Este with one of Uruguay's best beaches next door.
If you have more time then the countryside in Uruguay has a wealth of estancias and ranches where you can spend your days riding with the gauchos. It's a fantastic experience and you may feel like you have found a corner of South America all to yourself!
