Our 12-day Highlights of Patagonia holiday focuses on exploring the beauty of Southern Patagonia across Argentina and Chile. A fantastic itinerary to show some of the most dramatic, and beautiful scenery in the world.

You will begin your holiday in Chile with two nights in its cosmopolitan capital, Santiago, where you will enjoy a day exploring its many highlights, before heading off to Southern Patagonia. The first stop on your Patagonia Adventure will be the Torres del Paine National Park, where you will marvel at its jaw-dropping scenery including the three “Torres”. After three nights in the area, you will take a stunning drive over the Andes Mountains to El Calafate in Argentina, where you will enjoy a full-day tour to the spectacular Perito Moreno glacier. The holiday finishes in exciting Buenos Aires, the home of the tango, for a couple of days’ exploring.

Please note we would recommend taking this holiday between from October to March. It is also possible to do this itinerary in reverse, beginning in Buenos Aires and ending in Santiago, please speak to your travel specialist for details.

Day 1 - Depart the UK

Today you will depart the UK on your international flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Days 2 & 3 - Santiago

Arrive in Santiago and spend two nights in Chile's cosmopolitan capital. Enjoy a fascinating half-day city tour on your first morning and learn about the multi-cultural history of Chile which has shaped what the country has become today.

With the rest of your time in the city, you could head up the San Cristobal hill for a great view over the city or discover one of the city’s many parks, art galleries and museums.

Meals - Day 3: B

Days 4 - 6 - Puerto Natales and the Torres del Paine National Park

Fly to Punta Arenas in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, and transfer to the town of Puerto Natales for a night, the gateway town to the famous Torres del Paine National Park.

The following day, you will join a full-day tour to the famous Torres Del Paine. The tour will take you to a number of the highlights in the park including Lago Grey and various excellent viewpoints for the three Torres (towers). Your guide will tell you all about the park and what makes it unique as well as point out native wildlife. It's a day full of dramatic snow-capped mountains, stunning scenery and beautiful lakes and glaciers. Following your tour, you will be transferred to your hotel inside the National Park for you to further explore the area at your own leisure.

Days 7 & 8 - El Calafate and the Perito Moreno Glacier

Take a scenic road transfer over the Andes Mountains to El Calafate where the scenery continues to change. The journey over the Andes is beautiful so make sure you keep your camera in hand! 

The next day you will discover the hugely impressive sight of the Perito Moreno glacier on a tour which will take you as close to the face of it as you can get. Marvel at its magnificence from several different viewpoints, followed by a boat trip that takes you up close to the ice wall

Days 9 & 10 - Buenos Aires

Today you will fly to the home of Tango and the capital of Argentina – Buenos Aires. Here you will spend two nights at a centrally located hotel.

Enjoy a fascinating half-day city tour on your first morning and learn about the history of the city 

In the evening, end your tour with a tango show, complete with a delicious Argentine dinner.

Day 11 - Depart Buenos Aires

You will be transferred to Buenos Aires Airport for your onward flight

Today you will land back in the UK from Argentina
