About Me

As a born and bred Londoner, I have been exposed to a myriad of cultures from a young age, and this inspired me to think about the bigger world beyond our doorstep. After studying Creative Writing at university, I travelled around Australia and my passion for photography began, which continued when I won a prize in a national travel photography competition, which allowed me to experience the wild delights of South Africa. I have since backpacked much of North, Central and South America, but realise I still have a lot more of the world to see, which I hope to do through working for the fantastic Latin Routes!

My Travel Experience

It's a journey that has enabled me to document life across major cities and floating villages, safari wilderness and jungle pyramids, hot sands and misty mountains. I started with visiting cities, capturing the candid moments to be found in the world's streets and walkways, and enjoyed the buzz to be experiencing such places (whilst always comparing each to London!).

In more recent years I’ve gained a love for startling land and waterscapes, and the peaks and valleys of places such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, South Africa and the Alps have particularly caught my imagination. 

My Favourite Experience

Machu Picchu is a vaunted classic experience for good reason, if you’ve spent three or four days trekking through the jungle to get there as I did, then a pre-dawn rise on the final ascent day to get to the ruins after sunrise, it really stays in your mind as a special part of your travels. I also hiked further on that day up to Machu Picchu Montana, a peak over 3000m up in the clouds! I took a fun selfie with a llama in front of the iconic outline of the mountain, and the mist danced around the site for hours to add another layer of atmosphere to an already mystical place.
